The project consists of 2 – 7 million gallon ground storage tanks, 7 – 2,650 gpm (150 hp) high service pumps with variable frequency drives and a sodium hypochlorite system for disinfection. The total pumping capacity of the plant is 23 MG per day. PRI was also responsible for performing a hydraulic model of the entire City’s system and are responsible for updating the system as customers are added. Panama City Beach currently serves approximately 45,000 residents. This project allowed 13 potable water wells to be taken off line from the Floridan Aquifer.
